Construction of the world's tallest dam in Lorestan

According to the Mehr-Khorramabad news agency, the Bakhtiari Dam construction began as the tallest concrete dam in the world with the presence of the president, and a blast began on April 8, 2013. Dam and Bakhtiari power plant are located in the lower part of the Bakhtiari River in Lorestan province and in the southwestern part of Iran on the southwest slopes of the Zagros Mountains and in the northwest of the Tang-e-5 station (the 8th Andimeshk-Doroud station) on the railway track Tehran-Ahvaz, on the Bakhtiari River.
